Giles Fox

GILES FOX, PRESIDENT

A lifelong film buff, Giles Fox is President of Think Big Films LLC. Raised and educated in Europe and North America Giles brings an international perspective to Think Big Films.

Giles holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Business Administration from the Colgate Darden School at the University of Virginia. Giles also is a Chartered Financial Analyst and former President of the CFA Society of Colorado.

With over 20 years experience in banking, investment management, real estate and sales and marketing, Giles brings a keen business sense to film distribution and works hard to obtain the best deals and distribution for the firm's clients.

An avid mountain climber, photographer and cyclist, Giles thrives on Colorado's outdoor lifestyle, but resides only minutes from Denver's international airport.

Currently serving on Endowment Boards for The Gathering Place and the Denver Ballet Guild, Giles believes in giving back to the community and this culture flows through to how Think Big Films treats its clients - forming a mutually beneficial partnership to bring independent film to a wider audience.

Steve Replin

STEVE REPLIN, GENERAL COUNSEL

Steve Replin, the general counsel of Think Big Films, LLC, is a practicing entertainment, intellectual property, and business attorney in Denver, Colorado. He is a partner in the firm of Replin & Rhoades, LLC. In this capacity, he handles transactional matters for a broad diversity of clients including those in film, fashion, music, literary, dance, live theater, agents, publicists, fashion models, actors, screenwriters, book authors, playwrights, TV producers, and so on.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting; an MBA with a double major: corporate finance, and investments from the New York University Graduate School of Law; a JD from the University of Denver College of Law; and, an LLM (graduate degree in tax law) from the NYU School of Law. In addition, Mr. Replin holds a CPA certificate issued by the State of Colorado..

Mr. Replin is on a number of non-profit and City of Denver sponsored boards of directors for the arts including: Colorado Music Business Organization; Colorado Lawyers for the Arts; and, Create Denver which is a group formed to foster creative industry for Denver.

Mr. Replin is also on the boards of directors of the American Jewish Committee (Denver), and is the Chairman of the Board of the Denver Division of the American Heart Association.

He has recently authored a new book entitled HARD MONEY: WHERE TO GO WHEN THE BANK SAYS NO, which has been published by Barber’s Chair Press, LLC.

Mr. Replin is on the advisory board of Tir Na Nog Productions, Inc., a video production company in Denver, Colorado. In addition, he is on the board of advisors for Fashion Denver, a company formed to serve as the central “go to” company for all things fashion in Denver.

Mr. Replin speaks to groups frequently about entertainment and IP issues. He also gives seminars and consults on issues pertaining to formation and financing issues for small business.

Mitch Dickman

MITCH DICKMAN

Mitch Dickman formed Listen Productions out of a deep passion and dedication to create art that promotes communication and makes a positive impact in society.  Mitch recently finished producing and directing the stage play and feature documentary film “DNC Mediamockracy” (which won a Best Multimedia Denver Post Ovation Award and Best of Westword for Best Example of Theatrical Relevancy). Other recent creative projects include producing and directing the feature film “A Test of Wills”, directing and associate producing the indie travel show “Off the Radar” in Honduras, directing the short film “Mortar” (official selection of the 2006 Denver International Film Festival) and producing a Wild West gun-slinging stage production of “Macbeth” (which garnered 6 Denver Post Award nomination). He has worked on 16 feature films, produced/directed countless videos for organizations like Colorado AIDS Project, The Denver Office of Drug Strategy, 9News, Judis House, Westword, Curious Theatre Company, Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Union, the Mizel Center for Jewish Culture, and others. 

Annie Schlax

ANNIE SCHLAX

Annie Schlax is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience as a television, film, and multimedia producer. She has worked on a variety of projects nationwide primarily in Los Angeles, Illinois, and Colorado. Her credits include independent feature films, videos for clients in education and business and rock videos, the most notable of them being Nirvana’s Heart Shaped Box. She has also produced numerous television shows, commercials, PSAs, interactive multimedia and animated projects. Currently, Schlax is the Line Producer for the tenth season of Food Network’s hit show, Unwrapped.

Schlax produced the pilot for Bed of Dreams, a dramatic televisions series shot in high definition. Schlax also line produced the first season of The Champagne Chef, a culinary variety TV show and the pilot for At Home with Alphonsa, a lifestyles show. Summer of 2005 she lined produced the full-length feature film The Shadow Walkers for Mostly Films, LLC. The Shadow Walkers made its appearance at the AFM Fall of 2005 and secured distribution through Lions Gate.

Schlax’s other professional experience includes teaching film production management at the University of Colorado at Denver, Red Rocks Community College and Colorado Film Video Instructional Studios at the Lowry Campus. She also developed and managed a grant-funded fast track multi-media training program for Front Range Community College. She participated in curriculum development and program design for the Art Institute of Colorado, developing programs for both classroom application as well as online courses. She frequently appears as an industry guest lecturer.
